Family Life Behind Bars is a website of The Lives in Focus Project Inc., a non-profit media company that uses video, audio and photographs to present the voices and stories of those who are rarely given space or time in traditional news media.
The company, based in New York and is supported in part by The CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, and by J-Lab/Knight Foundation’s New Voices grant.
Lives in Focus was founded in 2005 by Sandeep Junnarkar.
